Hospitalization
Intravenous support:
IV fluids and drugs are precisely administered with state of the art fluid and injection pumps. We are able to correct and maintain hydration and electrolyte balance in patients that are unable to eat or drink.
Oxygen support:
Should your pet require oxygen therapy, Animal Health Hospital is fully-equipped with masks and oxygen cages. This is especially important for pets suffering from severe respiratory and cardiac diseases.
Wound care:
The staff at Animal Health Hospital is trained to care for wounds and injuries that are too extensive or painful for home care. While wound management is a common reason to hospitalize a pet, in some cases outpatient wound care is a better option, as we recognize that sometimes medical care is greatly enhanced by the love and attention one’s family can provide.
24 Hour Care:
If your pet is seriously injured or ill, we at Animal Health Hospital may recommend that your pet be hospitalized at an Emergency facility.
This is necessary when your pet requires 24-hour observation, or when life threatening complications might arise.
In such instances, the staff at Animal Health Hospital will work closely with the emergency doctors and specialists to ensure that they have the information they need to provide your pet with the most appropriate and compassionate care possible.
