We discovered Dr. Kipp Metzger soon after Emma joined our family as a rescue.  We  immediately were very impressed by the professionalism that Kipp and his entire staff demonstrate and their obvious genuine affection and concern for their clientele. The whole team is friendly, helpful, and just plain really good at what they do.  Kipp does a remarkable job of explaining complicated things and answering questions in a straightforward and understandable way. We’re glad we found Kipp Metzger and his great staff and we enthusiastically recommend him to everyone we know who has pets.

Let me preface this by saying that my step-father ran a respected Veterinary Clinic in New York, so I know what a well-run operation looks like, and Animal Health Hospital is an extremely well-run operation.

My wife and I first met Dr. Kipp very early one morning when one of our dogs was hit by a car, severely dislocating his rear hip… The dog (Boogie) was in great pain, and we didn’t know the extent of his injuries, so in a near-panic, we called our regular Vet, and got a recording saying that their office was not yet open… Since my wife was already driving the dog into town, I quickly went on-line and found the listing for Animal Health Hospital.

Even though it was still very early, their phone was picked up on the first ring, and when I explained the situation, we were told that even though it was before ‘official office hours’ and we weren’t regular patients, we should bring Boogie in right away.
Long story made somewhat shorter, thanks to Dr. Kipp and his wonderful staff, Boogie had hip surgery, made a complete (and extremely rapid) recovery, and lived to the ripe old age of 15 without so much as a tell-tale limp…

We’re real animal lovers and have many more wonderful stories we could share about Dr Kipp’s extremely caring staff, his up-to-date Medical knowledge, his excellent diagnostic abilities, and of course his winning ‘bedside manner’, but suffice it to say that as long as Animal Health Hospital exists, our beloved pets will be taken nowhere else.

Upon moving to Tucson in 2004, I took a chance & walked into Animal Health Hospital with my Scottish Terrier Mandy. We sure lucked out. I could not have found a better place for my dog. I now have 3 more Scotties. Dr. Metzger and Dr. Schillig always treat us like family and give them exceptional care. The staff is great and cannot do enough for me or my pets. They truly care about my pet’s health and comfort. I know my pets are getting the best treatment possible. I would not even consider going anyplace else for their health care because my dogs are much too important to me to trust anyone else.

I took Pita in to Dr Metzger when she was two days old. He checked her out and said she had a fifty-fifty chance of survival, as her mother our beloved little Sweet Pea had passed away due to complications. So he showed me how to feed her and I made calls to the office on a regular basis. Pita is now five weeks old and eating and drinking out of a bowl. We will be in to see Dr. Metzger and his wonderful staff next week when she will be needing her first shots!
